How To Prevent Computer Virus Attacks

By Hector Macvicar

The world has really expanded in technology with 1.5 Billion people being interconnected through the internet. The number in constantly increasing each day

Good news indeed but not without kick backs. This acts as a good infrastructure for computer viruses to spread from one computer to another very easily and quickly.

When the system is tampered with, the results will be for the viruses to spread faster through the system. By this way computer viruses will spread from computer to computer.

If you notice that your computer has started to slow down than it is the case under normal circumstances, know that a virus could be responsible for the slowness. This is one of the ways to detect the presence of a virus in your machine. The slowness is caused by the viruses' habit to dominate the entire computer.

Viruses are very notorious at times defying even the warning signals set by the Microsoft Word or Firefox which informs the computer of any invention. They will attack any computer at the slightest chance.

Another way to detect that your computer is under a virus attack is if you notice that your computer has the habit of restarting on its own. This happens under an influence of a virus looking for a way to gain access to more files in the computer.

If you notice that your computer is under the attack of a virus, don't lose heart since there are different programs meant to remove the same type of troubling types of viruses and the problems that go with them.

It is a good idea to be running an anti virus program more often especially after the first incidence of attack. This way the virus will not have a chance to hide while working underground. This may be hard to remove should you want to remove it later.

Do Not Allow Your Laptop Or Computer Die On You

By Guy Salomone

If your PC begins to decelerate, it can be a real bind. We have come to depend on our computers so much in which having a badly performing Personal computer can seriously impact on our daily life.

But it doesn't need to be like that. You will be amazed at the variety of actions you can take to boost your computer's performance, that involve either no or very little money. You do not need to simply accept that your computer is slow and that there is nothing you could do regarding it.

Yes, it is true that a few options might involve purchasing new components, but there is an awful lot of things you can perform that will either cost you nothing or next to absolutely nothing to strengthen your PC's performance.

Also they're pretty easy repairs, so you doesn't have to be an expert to provide them a try.

Before you invest tons on money on a new Laptop or computer, read on. So what can you try?

Defragmenting your disk

Windows 7 has improved tremendously since Windows XP, but it can still suffer from disk fragmentation over time. New applications get set up and also old ones get eliminated, which means that a single program could reside on disparate parts of the disk, causing ineffective read and write times. Conducting a defrag organizes all the programs back together again on the disk, so the disk head has less distance to travel.

You could perform it put simply:

Just type 'defrag' into the command line right after clicking on the Start menu, or perhaps access via Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools. Click the 'disk defragmenter' icon. In the utility window, check the % fragmentation of the C: drive is (it's only the C: drive that's important, you can disregard the other drives).

If it's more than 10% then you need to defrag. Don't forget to close all your applications first, as well as preferably begin it last thing at night as it could take some time to complete.

You must only have to do this once or twice a year.

Find Out More On Computer Hardware

By Simon Selway

There are some mistakes that you just don't make. One such is buying cheap computer hardware because you are trying to save money. That is just outright unsmart. Tomorrow, your computer will act up again, and you'll be wishing you had been smart from the start. And I am talking about just a few hundred dollars. So, it's always a good idea to spend the right money to buy the right computer equipments, especially if you really care about getting very good quality.

If you build it, they will come. If you build your cerebral database of computer hardware information, you will have folks knocking on your door in a short while. It's just natural. But of course there's much more involved than just that, but that's a first good step.

Strange how folks think that they could use a computer the way the things ought to be used without knowing the first thing about computer hardware. It's just not going to happen. It's like trying to drive a car without knowing about the wheels, and the battery, and the... It's just not going to happen.

You could learn about computer hardware now, you would just be doing yourself a favor. Folks don't know these things and they need to know. You could be the first to get your act together, or you could better still be the person to help the others out. Either way, you are on up.

You might know a lot about computer hardware, but I can assure you you don't know enough. Look around and you are bound to find someone who knows things that you don't about them. You may be abreast of the best that the United States has to offer, but how do you know what India or Japan has to offer?

Computer hardware sales is an attractive venture in today's world. There is simply no way you can be short of people who want to buy. The only problem I envisage is about whether you'll be able to sell to them if you do no update your facts on computer hardware. I should think you'd want to do that right away.
